3 Sports in 1 Program!
SOCCER – RUGBY – CRICKET – BALL SKILLS
All the benefits of 3 extra-murals in one package!
We are passionate about the development of children and sports. We understand first hand that sports can be an immensely positive influence on children, it’s never too early to start!
What we offer:
Fun for everyone:
We pride ourselves in having designed an inclusive programme that everyone can enjoy
Acquiring motor skills is just one part of children’s development. Mastering both fine and gross motor skills are important for children’s growth and independence. Having good motor control helps children explore the world around them and also helps with their cognitive development.
Gross Motor Skills: movements related to large muscles such as legs, arms, etc.
Fine Motor Skills: movements involving smaller muscle groups such as those in the hand and wrist.
Ball skills for Soccer, Cricket, and Rugby:
Better vision. Children who spend time outdoors playing, especially organized sports, are less likely to develop vision problems.
Healthy weight. Obesity is increasing in children, but data show that more active children, especially after school, are more likely to be of normal weight
Social skills development. Playing on a team means learning to work with others and support them.
Self-confidence. Success as a team member and an athlete builds confidence.
Sensory processing exercises.
The vestibular sense, or movement and balance sense, gives us information about where our head and body are in space. It allows us to stay upright while we sit, stand, and walk.
Proprioception, or body awareness sense, tells us where our body parts are relative to each other. It also gives us information about how much force to use in certain activities, allowing us to crack open an egg without crushing it in our hands.
Most activities require us to combine information from many different senses at the same time.
Executive Function Development:
Executive functions are a set of skills that combine skills and information we’ve learned in the past to help us accomplish something now. This skill set combines all the motor, sensory, and communication skills you’ve developed and applies them to daily activities and situations. core-strength & muscle-tone.
Structured and Unstructured Play:
Our classes have 15 minutes before and after each official class start/end time to allow the children to fulfil a portion of their daily recommended unstructured play.
Toddlers should spend at least one hour a day in free, unstructured play, and at least thirty minutes engaged in active, adult-led play. Older children need even more time to play each day. Think of play as a prescription from a doctor. It’s something they need every day.
Improve listening skills & behaviour.
Core Strength and Mid-Line Activities:
Crossing the body’s mid-line is the ability to reach across the middle of the body with the arms and legs. Crossing the body’s mid-line is an important developmental skill needed for many everyday tasks such as writing, reaching towards your foot to put on a shoe and sock with both hands and hitting a ball with a bat.
The building blocks necessary to develop the ability to cross the body’s mid-line;
Bilateral integration skills (using both sides of the body at the same time).
Core stability and trunk rotation: The muscles of the trunk that helps to stabilizing the body so the arms and legs can be moved with control.
Hand dominance: The consistent use of one hand or foot most often that allows refined movement control to develop.
Planning and sequencing: The ability to follow multi-step instructions to achieve a defined outcome or endpoint.
Body awareness: The information that muscles and joints send to our brain that tells us about our body position.
Allow them to explore their interests and talents, helping your child to make an informed decision about joining a sports club or team at school later in life.
